Engaged Buddhism

At a certain point in your spiritual practice, you may feel impelled to act in the world in a way that aligns with the Bodhisattva Precepts. The late Vietnamese Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh coined the term “Engaged Buddhism” to describe such work. Grounded in an awareness of interconnection, this work takes your practice off the cushion and into the realm of social engagement. This page is an an effort to encourage this kind of practice and support you in this work. Feel free to send us information that might be relevant.
